An integrated voltage reference generator, designed for being incorporated in standard 90-nm CMOS technology flash memories, is described in this paper. A fully MOSFET based approach, using also subthreshold operated devices, has been adopted in order to achieve low-voltage and low-power requirements and to overcome the difficulties of conventional band-gap reference circuits. In this paper, several aspects of the fundamentals of wireless Partial Discharge (PD) measurements are first discussed. Then, the relevance of the problem of voltage synchronization in PD wireless diagnosis is outlined. When portable instruments are used for PD detection, the main issue is the voltage measurement at the site where the PD detection is carried out. A portable instrument based on an antenna probe and suitable for partial discharge detection, have been characterized through both laboratory and on-site experiments carried out on coils and stator windings of ac rotating machines. The antenna probe allows the capture of electromagnetic waves in a bandwidth of 0.1–100 MHz. Pulse signals and ac supply voltage reference are obtained by means of high-pass and low-pass filters, respectively, so avoiding the need of a direct connection with the objects under test. In this paper, comparison between two different Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) techniques employed for three phase voltage source inverter (VSI) is discussed. The three phase voltage source inverter is basic topology used to supply a grid. In this paper we have design a LC filter between the inverter and the grid in order to stabilize the output voltage. Controlling a Power Factor Corrected (PFC) boost converter is not a trivial task, because the higher the dynamic performance, the higher is the input current distortion. Difference temperature-to-time electronic interface based on a thermistor-to-generalized impedance converter

Abstract In this work a difference temperature-to-time converter is shown using two thermistors working in a DC generalized impedance converter. Voltage drop in one of the thermistors depends on the temperature difference between them. This voltage is compared with a time varying exponential reference voltage obtaining a time interval at the output circuit with good linear dependence with respect to the input temperature difference. Experimental results are obtained showing a new generalized impedance converter application. The implemented circuit was characterized by a repeatability of 1.0%, a reproducibility of 4.5% and a relative accuracy of 1.3%.

A subthreshold, low-power, RHBD reference circuit, for earth observation and communication satellites

A low-power, wide temperature range, radiation tolerant CMOS voltage reference is presented. The proposed reference circuit exhibits a voltage deviation of 0.8mV for 3-MeV protons total ionization dose of 2Mrad and a voltage deviation of 3.8mV for 10-keV X-rays total ionization dose of 4Mrad while being biased at the nominal supply voltage of 0.75V during X-ray irradiation. In addition, the circuit consumes only 4μW and exhibits a measured Temperature Drift of 15ppm/°C for a temperature range of 190°C (−60°C to 130°C) at the supply voltage of 0.75V.
